The Eagle Nebula ( M 16 ) is a star forming region in the constellation Serpens. It is aprox. 6,500 light years away. It is famous for its "Pillars of Creation" located in the center of the image. I used a Celestron C8 telescope with a starizona .7x reducer/ corrector and a ZWO asi294mc pro camera on a sky-watcher EQ6R pro mount from my observatory in a bortle 4 sky.
