Description:

The Eastern Veil Nebula (NGC 6992) is a supernova remnant in the constellation Cygnus, aprox. 2,100 light years away. It is the remains of a massive star, 20 times the size of our sun, that exploded thousands of years ago. It is the eastern part of the Cygnus loop. I captured this image in my observatory in a bortle 4 sky with a couple of hours of 4 minute subs using a 7nm filter on my 120mm scope.
