Equipment:

Orion ST80 with SmartEQ Pro mount and Canon SL1 DSLR (stock)

Description:

15x90s at ISO800. I took this picture after the Great Conjunction because the dark skies were so good at the rental house we stayed in for the week. While definitely not the best Flame/Horsehead picture, I was pleasantly surprised at how much detail I could see with my low budget setup. I get discouraged sometimes seeing the pictures taken with $10k+ in equipment over hours. This was with <$1000 and done in <30 minutes. And all I had to do for processing was mash a few random buttons in Astro Pixel Processor. I will definitely spend more time with this setup in-town to see what I can achieve with the light pollution there.
