Description:
I won't deny that this is one of my favorite nebulae — perhaps my absolute favorite — and its allure draws my telescope to it almost every year. By now, I’ve imaged it in every conceivable way: pure HOO, HOO with RGB stars, SHO with RGB stars, and pure RGB. This year, I wanted to process it in the way that, in my opinion, truly brings out its full beauty (in addition to changing the FOV): blending HOO with pure RGB data (captured two years ago) for the nebula itself, while using RGB stars. Regardless of the technical details, I really like the result, and I believe it’s the best I can achieve from city skies.
