Description:

This composition perfectly frames some spectacular targets in the vicinity of Antares and M4. Note the beautiful orange and blue suns highlighting M4. Just left of center is the fainter globular cluster NGC6144 which records more blues. The Antares Nebula is the huge yellow cloud on the left side, and is one of the few yellow reflection nebulas in the entire sky. At the top left, a trio of blue suns lights the same dust cloud blue in IC4605. Finally, the gorgeous Sharpless 2-9 on the upper right is a hydrogen cloud illumiated by the hot super giant Sigma Scorpii. Technical Data: 11" f/2.2 RASA astrograph, ASI6200mm + Baader HaRGB filters, Integration time = 1h 30m total, Happy Jack, Az.
