Captured from Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India, this image shows a Geminid meteor streaking across the night sky at the shower’s peak. The weather was perfect for observing, with excellent visibility and no clouds, though the cold was intense enough to require multiple layers of clothing. The meteor appeared around 1:00 am IST. The long, chilly wait was completely worth it!
