Description:
My passion for globular clusters has been known for a long time and I am always looking for these subjects to photograph. In this case, I "discovered" this small globular in the constellation of Virgo and I did not miss the opportunity to photograph it with my Konus. NGC 5634 is a globular cluster in the constellation Virgo located about 75000 light years away. It has an apparent magnitude of about 11 and a diameter of 4,9 arcminutes. Its Shapley–Sawyer Concentration Class is IV, meaning the cluster shows intermediate rich concentrations. NGC 5634 was once likely a member of the Sagittarius Dwarf Spheroidal Galaxy. The galaxy itself is being pulled apart by tidal forces from the Milky Way, similar to how NGC 5634 was pulled from the Dwarf Spheroidal Galaxy.
