Description:
Embracing the Fireworks" (Dec 6, 2025, Shanghai). This image represents a pioneering technical achievement: capturing a terrestrial landmark silhouette using a dedicated H-Alpha solar telescope paired with a 100MP Medium Format camera (Fujifilm GFX100II). The silhouette belongs to the historic Sheshan Basilica (built 1863). Behind it, the Sun reveals its chaotic chromosphere, specifically the massive active region complex AR4294 & AR4296. Unlike standard white-light transits, this H-Alpha view unveils the deep-red "solar fireworks" framing the cross. Creating this image took three years of planning. Due to the extreme focal length, I used focus stacking of two exposures to resolve both the basilica and the solar details using a Sky-Watcher 100mm H-Alpha refractor and Baader TZ-4S system.
