Meade 102 ED APO, f/7, on an LX-200 Mount. Canon 350D w/ Astrodon IR filter, 20 x 10-minutes, captured/stacked w/ Nebulosity and processed w/ PS CS 5.5. Autoguiding with Orion StarShoot.
S&T's recent article -- written by Hap Griffen -- was spot-on: if you want to take your DSLR photography to the next level, I offer this shot as evidence that mod'ing your IR filter is worth every penny. This was my first shot after the mod. This kind of Ha sensitivity was completely out-of-reach until now -- what a difference.
