Description:

The central star of the constellation Cygnus and deep in the very heart of the Milky Way from northern skies, Sadr is surrounded by open star clusters, planetary nebulae, and great swathes of diffuse nebulosity. Despite appearances, Sadr is not associated with this nebulosity, which is being bombarded with ionizing radiation from other sources. I imaged this 4-panel mosaic in the summer of 2022, and only just got around to processing it. I used different filters to bring out the Ha & OIII nebulosity, and the natural coloured stars.
