Description:

The larger galaxy, IC 4721, is a barred spiral galaxy, 104 million light years away. Adjacent to, and to the bottom right of IC 4721 is another galaxy. While it appears to be just next to IC 4721 it is in fact much farther away at about 265 million light years. The light from that galaxy left its source about the time that the dinosaurs started their tenure on this planet. The smaller galaxy, above and to the right of IC 4721, is IC 4720 which is about 97 million light years away.
