Description:
Although it is a bright spiral galaxy, IC342 is a challenging imaging target. Located in the constellation Camelopardalis, this gem of the northern night sky lies near the flat plane of our Milky Way, hidden behind glowing cosmic gas, bright stars, and dark, obscuring dust. This is the reason why IC342 has the nickname "the Hidden Galaxy". As a result, this galaxy is a tough one when it comes to imaging, however, it's worth a try.
