Description:

The Blue Horsehead Nebula is located in Scorpio, not far from Antares. It is a reflection nebula in which cosmic dust reflects the light of Nu Scorpii, a blue subgiant star, at a distance of about 440 light years from Earth. The images were taken over 4 nights from the Apennines above Modena with an Askar FRA600 refractor reduced to f/3.9 and an ASI2600MC camera, and it is the mosaic of two panels made by 180 frames at 120 seconds each
