Description:
As reported by M. Jaeger during a Lunar Eclipse, Interstellar Comet 3I/ATLAS had a blue green coma in images taken before the Moon rose this evening. With modest equipment the comet coma was 0.4' wide, the comet had a very short tail 0.4' long at a position angle of 109 degrees from the comet coma and the comet was magnitude 14.7. The blue green coma was not evident in images taken in bright moonlight during past evenings.
