Description:
Now that the month of May has arrived, its time to start posting some of our latest Spring shots. At 400 arcseconds, this is a sizeable planetary nebula. Known informally as the Headphone Nebula, this large object shows both red halpha and blue/green OIII emissions. Several faint galaxies are in the background. Few planetaries are large enough for us to shoot with our fast focal ratio 10 inch, this is one of those few! Technical Data: 10" f/3.9 Newtonian astrograph, Atik 16200 CCD, 50% Crop, LRGB = 10 hours total, Payson, Az.
