Description:
Only a few images of this planetary nebula appear to exist in the literature or online archives. This image may reveal a previously unreported feature associated with the nebula’s outer structure. An image by Mark Hanson suggested a possible bipolar outflow, visible as symmetric red lobes extending from opposite sides of the nebula. Similar features are also visible here in Hα. In addition, a much larger red lobe appears on the left side of the nebula, detectable primarily in broadband red data rather than in Hα. The absence of strong corresponding Hα emission may indicate that this outer structure is dominated by lower-ionization emission such as [N II] or [S II], potentially tracing shocked gas, older ejecta, or an asymmetric bipolar outflow interacting with the surrounding i
