Description:
After reading Bob King's article in Sky and Telescope online yesterday (2/18/26), I went to a local park that has a very good view of the western horizon and captured this image about 45 minutes after sunset. This view is also the path for s busy airport, so there is an airplane trail if you follow the diagonal line from the moon through Mercury. More details in my gallery.
