Sequence of the total lunar eclipse as seen from atop the Washington Monument construction site at Mt. Vernon Place in Baltimore, Maryland. The steeple of First & Franklin Street Presbyterian Church (the tallest steeple in Baltimore) is visible in the foreground. The Monument is currently undergoing a comprehensive restoration in advance of the bicentennial of the laying of its cornerstone (July 4, 1815 - July 4, 2015). Mr. Tate is approximately 185' above ground level, on construction scaffolding.
