Description:

This lunar eclipse was very dark compared to the previous one. A smattering of bright stars in Pisces made a nice background for pictures. I set up one telescope for viewing but the moon was so dim, nobody cared to use that telescope. The view was better with unaided eyes or using binoculars. It was nice to have an early-evening eclipse for a change. The sky was clear and the temperature was around 80 degrees F. It was a good time and a nice finish for the tetrad.
