Description:
Commonly known as the Pinwheel Galaxy, M101 is about twice the size of our galaxy and is home to an unusual amount of star formation regions. Curiously enough, a supermassive black hole has not yet been observed in the heart of M101, which sets it apart from many other galaxies. The data for this galaxy was provided by the RASC Robotic Telescope, and was imaged in May of 2021. It consists of 5 hours of RGB data, along with 5 hours of luminance.
