Description:

M 2 is one of the largest, oldest, and most dense globular clusters in the night sky. It contains approximately 150,000 stars and is about 13 billion years old. Most stars in the cluster are red and yellow giants which you can see in this image around the perimeter. M 2 is located in the constellation Aquarius and is 37,500 light years away.
