The culmination of three years of effort and numerous equipment upgrades, this final image of M31 includes 18 hours of RGB data (Optolong L-Pro) and 12 hours of H-alpha data (Optolong L-eXtreme), for a total of 30 hours integration time. The great Andromeda Galaxy is an extremely popular target for astrophotographers as it is large and bright (5 times the width of the full moon in our night sky, and naked-eye visible in good conditions.)
