Description:

This could be the most photographed target in the sky. Learned from my past experience, this time I have spent more time targeting the trapezium (at the core) and used multiple exposure lengths to make this HDR version of M42. I really like how it turns out this time. Due to my light polluted sky (B7+) and low altitude of this target, PLUS it is blocked by a big tree for most part of the night. I thought about but gave up taking RGB on this target. Hope you like the details of it. Scope: ES208CF (8" f/4 Newtonian) Camera: ASI294MM-P Exposures: 30x15s H and O, 30x30s H and O, 70x300s H, 77x300s O. (~13 hours in total) Calibrations: 30 Darks for 15s 30s 300s, 20 Flats for H and O DSS, PI, Photoshop
