Description:
Also known as the Seven Sisters, the Pleiades is an open star cluster and one of the brightest and most recognizable deep space objects in the night sky. The reflection nebula in front of the cluster makes it look ghostlike and is caused by gas and dust in front of the star cluster. This was taken using my amateur gear from Westford, MA near the MIT Haystack Observatory.
