Equipment:
Telescope: Sky-Watcher 90mm achromatic on EQ2 mount. Camera: Nikon D3300.
Description:
An image of M82 which demonstrates, I think, how much detail can be achieved with the most basic of equipment. The telescope (a 90mm Sky-Watcher achromatic) is a very inexpensive ($100 second hand) one and the camera Nikon D3300) regarded as a beginner's model. This shows what can be done on a shoestring. A 12m 35s total exposure in 5s subframes stacked in DeepSkyStacker.
