Description:
In the late afternoon, while I was processing astronomical images on the computer, and, in the summer heat, I was hoping for an anticipated storm to arrive, from the terrace of the house I could hear my wife's loud voice: "Come and see the clouds!" I run out onto the terrace muttering: "Mammatus?" ...and they were right there, over my head. I had never seen them live before. Impressive, dark, protruding from a bright background: a dramatic image. Mammatus Clouds above Venice!
