Description:

The process here was to use my initial 199 RAW frames at the 1300mm focal length, initially converting to pngs, cropping heavily and centring all in PIPP image preparation software. The 120 best by evaluated quality were retained. Then the best 60% of those (72 frames) were stacked in AutoStakkert. From there various blends mainly of high pass filtered versions were performed to extract a much tonal/color variation as I could muster. Then Gimp to decompose the RGB to R, G and B and to assemble the 2x2 matrix shown here.

(Registax6 wavelets initially applied to the stacked image, after AutoStakkert and before Photoshop CS/2 blend processing).
