Description:
The clouds stayed away, and I finally got a full session on M 104, The Sombrero Galaxy. It’s low in the sky and directly next to a bright LED streetlight so I used a large TV cardboard box to block the direct light from the streetlight to give me my best shot at capturing it. It reaches it highest point on May 12th and then begins to get lower every night, so if I missed getting an image of it, I would have to wait until next year to try again. The cardboard box did a great job of blocking most of the streetlight and I was pleased to see so many stars come through.
