Location of Photo:

Newport, South Wales, UK

Date/Time of photo:

29th May and 24th June (2020)

Equipment:

130mm SkyWatcher f/5 Newtonian and Nikon D3200 'astro-modded' DSLR

Description:

Image of M51 (and accompanying NGC 5195) which was a total exposure stack of 27m 05s in 5s subframes converted to a regionalised isophote form. This used curves in an up-down( repeated) manner. Note: I was actually just trying to see if I could get to more detail in the nucleus (black hole) region of M51 than a simple, photographic portrayal.
