I used my Canon 6D, Tamron 17-35f/2.8-f/4.0 at f/2.8, 17mm, ISO 6400, 71sec, on a sturdy Sirui carbon-fiber tripod.

Description:

When the Milky Way *and* the Aurora are visible in a Bortle 3 night sky, it is hard to choose which one to image. So I imaged both!
