Description:
A beautiful view of the Moon on Day 21, showcasing some of the most fascinating features along the lunar terminator. Prominent in this image is Vallis Alpes (Alpine Valley), a remarkable fault-like valley cutting through the Montes Alpes. Near the northern region, the striking craters Aristoteles and Eudoxus stand out with their well-defined walls and rugged interiors, highlighted by the low-angle sunlight. The lighting at this lunar phase reveals an incredible amount of detail, emphasizing the texture of the crater floors, mountain peaks, and surrounding ejecta fields. Observing and imaging the Moon at this stage is always rewarding, as the long shadows bring the lunar landscape to life with stunning contrast and depth.
