Description:

The elusive but really extensive Mare Orientale on the Moon surface. This really big impact basin extends for about 900km between the outer rim of the farthest mountain ranges. It was truly amazing to observe such a beautiful structure. The panorama is rich in rims, mountain ranges that continue even beyond the horizon, 'lakes' of solidified basaltic lava, and many other features. This final picture is a composition of 5 different panels, elaborated singularly and then stitched together and equilibrated in tones and lights.
