Description:

I just wanted to try my new camera hookup and the Moon was a perfect guest. After taking several successive chains I came in and figured I'd try stitching a couple pictures together. It was only after I completed that work that I went through quite a few resources to determine just where these scenes resided on the Moon. I found the bright spot (Censorinus and Censorinus A) to be at about 1° N and 34° E. Then I started looking to label the craters when I found an online NASA Moon map that put Tranquility Base just inside the upper right (proper orientation) of my stitched pictures. Eagles are some of my favorite birds to photograph.. :-D
