This image shows the clouds of glowing hydrogen gas in the neighborhood of the Horsehead (IC434) and Flame (NGC2024) nebulae. The image is the red channel only from the color image. Since the only source of red in the image is the Ha band, it shows emissions from glowing hydrogen (plus some isolated thermal sources). Yes - narrow band with a color camera!
