Description:

Comet P/2000 S1 Skiff was recovered on June 5 as P/2017 L1 and was recently named new Periodic Comet 352P Skiff. It will brighten to magnitude 16 in September before fading below magnitude 20 in early 2018. It will then return to Earth's night skies again in 2034. This collection of images was taken in morning twilight so to best show the comet and 4 NGC galaxies the image is a negative of the original. The comet has a tail to the upper right (SW) of the coma in this image.
