Description:
First attempts on a new target, NGC 2175, The Monkey Head Nebula. Although the seeing was below average for this session, the skies looked clear, and the nebula came through very well. This image is a stack of 412x 15 second exposures at 120 gain. More proof that Alt/Azimuth mounts can indeed do deep sky imaging. This is my 15th month since I first began astrophotography, at age 63.
