Description:

The skies have been cloudy for a week but we did have one cloudless sky last night so I was able to cross one galaxy off my wish list. I've avoided this galaxy in the past, due to it's location being directly above the security lights of the building next to me. This creates a lens flare that I have to reduce in post-processing, as well as washing out some detail from the final image. Still, it's my best attempt at NGC 2403 to date. This is one of the closest galaxies to us although it's only about half as large as our Milky Way galaxy.
