NGC 3576 is a site of active star formation, with young, hot stars illuminating the surrounding gas and dust clouds, creating a beautiful display of colorful gas filaments and dark dust lanes. The nebula is also home to several massive stars that emit powerful stellar winds and intense ultraviolet radiation, shaping the surrounding material into intricate structures.
