Date/Time of photo:
Takahashi TOA 130, Takahashi Mewlon 210
This image has an exposure of 19 hours. It consists of 38 takes of 30 minutes of exposure. I have added data collected with two Takahashi telescopes and separately processed luminance and color. I have had a lot of work to adapt the size of stars and color, given the difference in focal length, without losing detail in the Galaxy. From Earth, the Splinter looks very small, barely 13 minutes of arc, so I'm very happy to have drawn details in the less bright area, where there is more contrast with areas of dark galactic dust.
