Description:
The Iris Nebula (also known as NGC 7023 and Caldwell 4) is a faint reflection nebula in the constellation Cepheus. The nebula is illuminated by a bright central star designated HD 200775. It lies 1,300 light-years away and is six light-years across. The image is a stack of over a thousand 10-second images taken over a 5 hour period of time two nights ago with a Seestar S50 "smart" scope, just one night before the very bright full moon.
