Description:
NGC 7789 (Caroline's Rose) is a particularly beautiful open star cluster located 8,000 light-years away just off the tip of Cassiopeia. Just below and to the left of it is WY Cas, a Mira-variable star with an 18-month period alternating between magnitude 7 and 14. I imaged NGC 7789 over three nights, with a total of 8 hours integration time.
