Description:
The Double Cluster, NGC 884 and NGC 869, are two open star clusters residing between Cassiopeia and Perseus, in the Northwest sky, an estimated 7,400 light-years away. Each contains 300 to 400 stars. These stars are thought to be approximately three million years old … babies in star time! This image was taken from our deck at about 10:00 last night, just before the clouds moved in.
