Description:
Just a few degrees north of the large naked eye star cluster the Hyades, we find this rich assemblage of dust from the Taurus Molecular Cloud swirling all over this 2x3 degree field. In the center, NGC1555 is at the very center of one such swirl, surrounded by dark lanes and cometary shaped dark knots of star illuminated dust. The dark cometary dark nebula near top center is called PLCKECC G175.31-20.50, classified as a "Dark Core". A hint of red on the lower right along the edge of the frame marks the only visible hydrogen here. Technical Data: 11" f/2.2 RASA astrograph, ASI6200mm + Baader LRGB filters, Integration time = 2h total, Happy Jack, Az.
