Description:

The Omega Nebula ( M 17) or the Swan Nebula in the constellation of Sagittarius is an emission nebula. It is a star-forming region in the Milkey Way galaxy. It is aprox. 5,500 light years from Earth. I took this picture from a bortle 4 sky in my Rock Top Observatory. I took almost 5 hours of 6 minute exposures to produce this image.
