Description:

Acquisition data: - Lights: 31 x 80’’ ISO 400 - Darks: 20 x 80’’ - Flats: 20 x 0.5” ISO 400 - Biases: 20 x 1/4000 ISO 400 A night of DSO photography at Mount Teide in the Canary Islands allowed me to capture NGC 1976 at its best moment. The “Orion Nebula” is characterized by presenting a large Hydrogen ionized cloud by a region of massive luminous stars at its center. The scattered light is present in the dust clouds marking an elliptic profile, as well as “Running Man Nebula” identified at the left of the image. The increase in molecular density shows us the deep areas of the Orion Nebula in darker tones and reddish colors for emission light. A time of high humidity to observe in Tenerife. In a window of nocturnal clarity with the moon towards the east, the sky allowed a very good session of Astrophotography. Together with a group of Astrophysics students we decided that it was worth taking a try, to enjoy and appreciate these seedbeds of life in our Universe, with the nature of the volcano.
