Location of Photo:

Driveway at home in Cincinnati, Ohio

Date/Time of photo:

his image was taken on multiple evenings from my driveway in Cincinnati, Ohio, a Bortle 7 area, from 6/1/25 through 7/26/25 for a total integration time of 24 hours, 25 minutes.

Equipment:

Sensor: Sony IMX571 APS-C sized mono camera [ASI 2600mm] Telescope: Esprit 120 f/7 [Focal Length 840mm] on a Sky Watcher EQ6-R-Pro mount with 3nm SHO filters.

Description:

I was a visual astronomer for years but my light polluted area, in addition to a medical injury, restricted my views. I turned to imaging in 2021 and I was stunned by what a camera could see that my eyes alone could not. I have always loved the Hubble "Pillars of Creation" so my goal was to embrace my personal rendition. I love the wide fov as it captures the "awe" sentiment where one enters a hallway and in wonder, sees the Pillars.
