Description:

This is a wide field view of M33 and its surroundings. According to Wikipedia information, M33 is located about 2.7 million light years from earth and close to the Andromeda galaxy. Both belong to our local group and eventually all three will merge into one single large galaxy. M33 is visible as part of the Triangulum constellation.
