Description:

This image covers a large portion of the lunar surface. In addition to the craters Ptolemaeus, Alphonsus and Arzachel, the famous Rupes Recta is visible at the lower left. Also known as the "Straight Wall", it is actually a structural fault about 110 km long and 1 to 3 km wide. About 20 images were used to create this image using the mosaic technique.
