Description:

Stephan's Quintet is composed of 5 galaxies, 4 of which interact with each other gravitationally. Starting from the top right, you can see NGC 7317, then NGC 7318 a and b (the two closely linked), NGC 7319 (with its tidal tail) and finally NGC 7320 which is only a prospective part of the quintet. Below on the left then appears "the soloist", NGC 7420. Photographing Stephan's Quintet from the sky of the outskirts of the city is a tough challenge, requiring many nights of acquisition and very meticulous processing, to extract from each of the 5 galaxies (plus one) the greatest possible number of details. Shooting was done between July 17 and August 28, 2024, on all clear nights (about 80%) in LRGB and Ha depending on the lunar phases, for about 20 hours of L, 11 each of R,G and B, and 17h Ha
