Mechanicsville, MD

Date/Time of photo:

Nov 2016

Equipment:

ZWO ASI 1600mc-cool, Celestron RASA, Paramount MX

Description:

This small galaxy is nearly hidden by the glare of Regulus, the brilliant but much closer star that dominates this image. This image contains a mere 43 minutes of exposure and while the halo is an artifact, I find it reminiscent of an earlier era of astrophotography.
